Registration

The Association of Parents and Friends of Handicapped Children in the Czech Republic, c. a., the umbrella organisation under which Klubíčko club operates, is registered with the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, pursuant to Act No. 83/1990 Coll., on Civic Associations, as amended, of 23 July 1991, under file No. VSC/1-7 228/91-R; Klubíčko Klub itself is registered with the Association, under no. 56.

Organisational structure

Klubíčko Beroun Club is one of 60 member clubs of the Association of Parents and Friends of Handicapped Children in the Czech Republic, civic association. The club is a legal entity and operates in the former local government district of Beroun.

The governing body of APFHC CR, c. a. – Klubíčko Beroun Club is the members’ meeting, which approves strategic documents and elects and removes committee members and the inspection committee. The club committee steers the work of the organisation in the period between individual meetings, ensures that tasks set are being implemented, appoints the chairman, vice-chairman and manager of the club and appoints or confirms the director of KLUBíčko Integration Centre and statutory representatives.

APFHC CR, c. a. – Klubíčko Beroun Club is an establishing entity of the KLUBíčko Integration Centre.

A little bit of history

The organisation was established in 1997 by several families with disabled children.

Over the years our organisation has developed from an association whose original aim was to offer only integrated leisure activities and to arrange new contacts, provide encouragement and exchange information among people with similar problems, into an association filling gaps in service provision.

The organisation has expanded the range of services it provides, and increased the number of clients and employees. Today it is the only provider in the Beroun area that offers a full range of social services and leisure activities to families with handicapped children, both young children and teenagers, and adults.

A major event in the history of Klubíčko was the acquisition of the lease of one floor in the newly reconstructed Community Centre in Beroun in 2006, and subsequent implementation of the “Expansion of social services of KLUBíčko Integration Centre” project, which received European Social Fund support.

This was followed by registration of the social services provided, and our portfolio has stabilised, with 5 types of social services offered.

What we do

We provide the following registred social services

Personal assistance

The mission of this service is to assist handicapped persons in carrying out everyday activities, thus enabling them to participate in society.

Respite care 

The mission of this service is to enable carers to take necessary breaks by taking over care of a handicapped person for a certain period or by sharing the care.

Day care centre

The mission of this service is to provide comprehensive care for the handicapped during the day, including educational and social therapy activities, and programmes to promote active living, taking into consideration individual needs.

Weekly care centre

The mission of this service is to provide comprehensive care for the handicapped on a weekly basis, including educational and social therapy activities, and programmes to promote active living, taking into consideration individual needs.

Social therapy workshops

The mission of the service is the long-term, regular encouragement of work routines and developing skills in handicapped individuals by means of social therapy through work.

Related services

A branch of the elementary school and practical school Beroun

We cooperate closely with the Elementary School and Practical School in Beroun (a school for children with special needs); at the KLUBíčko Integration Centre, two classes have been established for pupils with serious handicaps, where two teachers and two school assistants work with the children.
